Pattern Information: This quilt, with a Civil War influence, was designed by 11 gals, (you could say "from around the world") that got together over the Internet. All of the women were "Dear Jane" enthusiasts and had become good friends over the last few years. The group met in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Houston, Texas - the "meeting of the minds" (so to speak). At one such meeting in Lancaster, the idea was born to create our own Civil War Quilt. With the talent and leadership among these ladies, along with the support of Benartex Fabric, the quilt was born. After some exposure at a recent quilt market, it was brought to the attention of Beth Hayes, the editor of McCall's Magazine. She loved our story and how we got together and asked if we would be interested in having our quilt featured in McCall's Special Edition Magazine. The Special Edition of McCall's was on newsstands beginning May, 2002 - on the COVER no less. This issue and it's contents had all the complete patterns available.
